I've been engaged in some friendly conversation over the last couple o' few with Blog-Bud Morgan and various members of his commentariat about what constitutes "beauty"... in the popular image sense... in our culture of late. And I've been on the losing end of the argument, for the most part. I'll not flog the dead horse here (much), if'n you're interested in the discussion you're free to join in at the links. The Readers Digest version is I find substantial women much more attractive than the air-brushed, plastic-boobed, anorexic "visions of beauty" foisted upon us by the fashion biz. Damn those people, anyway.
Pretty enticing, eh? The model is jes a lil too "made up" for my tastes, but we'll let that slide. We're on about body types here, not make-up skillz. There are more pictures here... if'n ya can stand the incredibly slow speed of the site. I got so damned many time-outs when trying to step through the image layout at the link I almost canceled this post. Their webmaster needs to do a LOT of work to get this site up to speed. Heh.
Now... that said... I was just watching Neil Cavuto's show on FNC and he did an interview with a "plus-size" model who is featured in V Magazine's "Curves Ahead" issue that should be on the newsstands in short order. A sample:
